Please join me in congratulating Ms. Juana Moncada for the appointment of Interim Director for Residence Life.

Ms. Juana Moncada has served as the Assistant Director of Residence Life at Tarleton State University since 2019. She oversees the training and development of current Residence Life staff and supports the Residential Education of all on-campus students. With over ten years of experience in higher Education, she has a strong commitment to mentoring and serving a diverse student population, creating a co-curricular residential experience, and an emphasis on giving ALL students the best on-campus support and opportunities.

During her time at Tarleton, Ms. Juana Moncada has served as the Residence Hall Director for Hunewell Hall, Bender Hall, Ferguson Hall, and Integrity Hall. In 2017 and 2018, Ms. Moncada served as the co-coordinator for Family Relations while supporting her residence life work. Before Tarleton, Ms. Moncada worked at Angelo State University in Graduate Admissions. Ms. Moncada earned her Master’s in Student Development and Leadership from Angelo State University. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Tarleton State University. Ms. Moncada is a proud first-generation college graduate and is delighted to continue serving the Tarleton community. Ms. Moncada is pursuing her Ed.D in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University.
