December Commencement Ceremony Information

The 2021 Tarleton State University December Commencement Ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, December 10th. Specific ceremony information is included below.

CEREMONY TIMES/LOCATION

All ceremonies will take place in Memorial Stadium on the Stephenville campus.

Please note: All ceremonies will include both graduate and undergraduate students. There will not be a separate graduate ceremony.

INCLEMENT WEATHER RESCHEDULE
Inclement weather could impact ceremony start times on Friday, December 10th or require ceremonies to be rescheduled to Saturday, December 11th. Information regarding ceremony changes will be posted to the university website and pushed out via social media outlets. Please watch for updates.

TICKET DISTRIBUTION
Ticket distribution will begin Monday, November 15th at 1:00 PM in the locations listed below.

  • All students who applied for graduation will be considered eligible to participate in their commencement ceremony however, ceremony participation is optional.
  • Undergraduate students will receive 8 tickets.
  • Graduate students will receive 8 tickets.
  • Students will be required to show picture ID before tickets are released.

Distribution will cease at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 3rd

  • Any tickets not picked up by 5:00 pm will be made available on a first come, first served basis the following week as extra tickets.

Extra Ticket Distribution will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 6th and 8:00 AM on Tuesday, December 7th

  • Extra Ticket Distribution will take place in the same locations.
  • Students who applied for graduation will be eligible for extra tickets.
  • Undergraduates and Graduates are eligible for up to 4 additional tickets. 12 tickets total (8 original allotment + 4 extra).

Extra Ticket Distribution will cease at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6th or when all tickets have been distributed.

GRADUATE STUDENTS: Tickets for ALL graduate students (all campuses) will be handled through the College of Graduate Studies on the Stephenville campus.

ONLINE STUDENTS: Tickets for Distance Learning students will be handled through the academic Dean’s offices on the Stephenville campus.

DIPLOMAS

Diplomas will be mailed to graduates 4-6 weeks following commencement ceremonies to the address the graduate provided on the graduation application.
